Deconstructing a visual-CCR

Content- John Fogerty is being emphasized, facial expression is serious in this photo, it shows us how he is enjoying is job as a music artist. There is no computer retouching on this album cover, its just natural pictures of john Fogerty and the CCR members on stage. Action featured in this album is the band playing and a few singing. For objects in this album cover there is a microphone, the setting is on stage at a show and the colour is red white and black.





Composition- There is very little blank space in this picture, there is a little at the top just between the artist pictures and the title.

Camera Distance and Angle- This photo shows us the eye level caption, and also shows us a long shot view where the other people in the background.

Lighting- This photo has alot of light on john fogerty and as the other band members get farther back in the photo the color gets darker.

Captions- There is only 2 captions in this shot. One shot is the band members and the other is the title "Creedence Clearwater Revival" "Featuring JohnFogerty" "Chronicle" "20 Greatest hits". This title is a calm and classic looking title. The second caption is The band members in the light.

Click here for lyrics This song is about a man driving and being free. Also looking back at the good times he had at one time. He is also telling us that he is going away and he got a one way ticket so he wont be coming back.

Sexual Images in Media

This video is advertising Doritos, it is using women as a sexual object.This advertisement is saying that Doritos chips not only taste amazing but something good will happen with every chip you eat. I think that this advertisement is appropriate because its not showing anything indecent. Broadcasters would probably use this commercial because they think that when people see the women in the video they will want the chips.



This video is advertising chiclets. It is using the "pain is pleasurable" as an object. Saying from the womens aspect that when things dont go good have a chiclet and it will make things better. This is ok for tv because there is nothing bad showing and no coarse language.

My Role

If i was offered a role in a T.V show or movie, I would like to be a stunt driver. I think i would be the right person for this job because i would be willing to do almost anything and i love to drive.

My Favorite Media

My favorite type of media is car magazines and TV shows that talk about cars. This interest me because its what i like to do on my spare time. Some people might not like this type of media because they may not me interested in those type of things.

The character's in this video are to boxers in the movie "Rocky 4" Rocky balboa and the almighty Russian. Drago is the Russian boxer, and rocky is the American boxer. Both of these men are probably in about there early thirty's. There was a fight scheduled for these to boxers because they were both undefeatable. So each man had to much time to train before the fight. The conflict of the Movie was resolved by these two boxers fighting to see who will win.

Characters in Telivision

The main characters in this old tv show are Artchy and edith bunker. Artchy is a male and edith is archys wife. They are just regular american new yokers. Archy is a part time taxi plus he owns a bar in to town and edith is a stay at home wife. They are probably in there early sixtee's. Archy is the comedian in family and Edith is the numb wife thatis also funny because of the way she acts.

Commericials

This is a commercial of the 1977 caprice classic. The 1976 caprice was the biggest car on the market in 1976, but in 1977 it was downsized, but still with as much inside room as the full size 1976 caprice classic. The 1976 is my favorite year of caprice but i also like this year as well, there very nice cars.



This is the 1972 gmc pick up commericial, it tells us how gm made a truck to bo both reliable and fun like every other gm vehicle on the road.



This is a A&W commercial that is not that late. Showing us that A&W is such a good place to eat that even the workers cant get enough of it.

My Favorite Personalities

Seth rogen is in alot of movies. He is a great actor and also known as a comedian. He was in alot of movies such as Pineapple express, Knocked up, and superbad, which are all halarius movies.

This is him in the movie "Super Bad" which is pretty funny.

Terri Clark is a great canadian singer that was born on 1968 in Montreal Quebec. The reason i picked terri clark is becuase i like alot of her songs, and becuase she's old fashoined like most of her songs.

This song "a Little Gasoline" is one of my favorite songs of her.

Seth Rogen

Introduction:
Seth Rogen was born on April 15th 1982, Seth is a canadian actor, comedian and film producer. He began his carrer doing stand up comedys as a teen. He helped right comedy films such as superbad and pineapple express. He is curently providing coice talents in the animated film "paul".

Is he a True Canadian??

Seth Rogen represents candada by his humourous personality, this is how he his carrer began and how he still remains a great actor and makes great comedy films. Even though he is a canadian and acts in the canadian way he currently lives in the U.S and makes his movies through U.S. companies and acts with American actors. Because of his great Canadian ways he makes American Companies lots of money. ROgen had heros in Canada that helped inspire him become a vancouver actor he is. One of the actors that inspire him is David Cronenberg and they inspired his latest movie "The Green Hornet"

Seths newest production, instead of acting in this one he does a voice over for the main character that is a alien creature.

The Devils violence

I think that this movie "The Devil" had just enough violence for the type of movie thta it is. Violence is alright in this movie becuase it is suppose to be scary and thats usually what makes movies scary. This movie had enough violence but not to much, not so much that will make you sick.

Enough violence vs To much violence

I think that violence is good in some movies but not all. In this show "Pacific" i think that the violence is alright because its talking about the war and that's what happened in the war. I think that violence is OK in some movies such as this one but other movies sometimes has to much violence, it just makes a movie gross sometimes. Fast action movies can be produced without viol once because there is a lot of movies that are full of action and don't have any violence at all.

Neilson Report

Tow things that really suprised me about this report was that, american teenagers dont use cell phones, computers, tv, and other types of media as much as people think they do. I was also very suprised that statistics prove that adults stay on the internet more than teenagers do. Its hard to believe that teenagers are on the internet less than adults. But a can relate to that because i only watch tv about a half hour a day and i only use my cell phone when i half to get a hold of someone, and the only time i use the internet is at school because i dont have it at home. If i was going to do a survey at blackville school i would ask kids from ages 14-18 how much time they go on the interent in a day and once i got all the answers i could find the average out. I would like to find this out so i could see how much time students really do waste on the internet.

4. This is media off an internet page that shows us how weird of people is really out there. And it shows how we get so use to it that after a while we dont even notice when we see somthin like this. Well alot of us don't notice but there's still some that do.

Personal expierience video

3.This video is a source of media from years ago in world war 2 that shows us how the men that was in the war had such a personal expierience that changed there lifes and also changed the lifes of there family members and people that new them. This video shows us how hard it was for the men at war to survive and then come back and live a normal life at home after everything that they saw and went threw at war. Now thats quite the personal expeirience to live with.

2.There is an article on the CBC news website talking about a senior Mountie telling Mp's of his boss's abuse. Raf Souccar, one of the senior mounties, had to raise concerns about commissioner William Elliots managemet style to the federal athorities. Elliot was being verbally abusive as well as arrogant and insulting. This is something that influence what we talk and think about because when we see this we right then have something new to talk about.

Media Literacy

I think that the biggest ideas in both of these videos is to tell us how much impact media has on people and the society all around the world. It also tells us how media is one of the biggest sources of information in the world.

Throught this course i would like to learn more about how media works, and i would also like to learn how to make my own media that would help me be more interested and help me out a bit more.
