Caprice Classic VS Other Cars At The Time.

They have been around from 1965 to 1996. Some people use them for a family car, some for a sports car, and some people reg them up for antique cars. The Caprice Classic was around for many years, it is a lot of peoples favorite car. The Caprice Was honored twice with the ''Motor Trend Car Of The year" award and was also on ''car and driver magazine's" "Ten Best List". The Caprice has a very interesting history.

It all started in 1965 when they "trimmed" up the Chevy Impala and turned it into the "Caprice". The Caprice was well shown the first year in 1965. In 1966 the Caprice was expanded into a full top of the line series and also included a two door hard top, in contrast to the "SS Impala". A V8 engine was installed in every Caprice. You could also get special features such as power steering, automatic transmission, white side wall tires, and vinyl top. Mostly every Caprice came with these features.

At the same time Ford had the "Galaxie 500 LTD" and Dodge had out the "Manaco" and "Polar". Both companies was trying to compete with the Chevrolet "Caprice Classic" but either company could get close to the Caprice. Ford tried to compete with Chev by offering power windows, power seats, power steering, and air conditioning and half or full vinyl tops. Dodge offered sedans, hardtops, and station wagons and that was about it they never offered very many special features.

Caprice was top of the line car on the market everywhere, they offered way more features than any other cars around. Everyone was driving them, talking about them, and loving them. they loved the special features, the good gas mileage and the low cost. It was the car everyone was looking for.

I myself am a very big fan of the Caprice Classic, I own one of my own and would like to have a lot more. They are a great car and i would recommend anyone that likes "big old cars" to get one and either keep it for an antique, to drive or for both.

Persuasive Essay

The title of the article i looked at is "When I Grow Up". I found this article on "Teenink", this article was written by Sara D from Wyckoff New Brunswick. This writer explains the thesis very well, the thesis is '' When I Grow Up". The opening paragraph of this article caught my attention well because it talks about being in kindergarten and thinking about what you wanna be when you finish school. This caught my attention because i always use to think about what i wanna be when i grow up and i still do.

There is 6 paragraphs in this thesis. All the paragraphs in this thesis relate and the writer backs it up with many examples. '' When I think about the future, I definitely don’t see myself working at the Market Basket, but in reality, if that was what would make me happy, I would do it."

The Writer also talks about doing what makes you happy when you grow up not just doing what you need too do. I liked this article,i understood it well and it made a lot of sense too me.

Vidoe review

I liked that this video showed in detail how to tie at tie. I found this interesting because not very many people know how to tie a tie and most people want to learn. This video shows every step to tying a tie in detail and is explained very well. I would like to have my video explain the process of changing a motor in my video as good as this man explained his video on tying a tie.

How to Change a motor

Your a young teenage boy that gets your first old car, you got your loud exhaust on and you love the loud noise your car makes. Ever time you pull in somewhere and your friends are there and say "rev er" you hold the throttle of your car wide open. After so many times of doing this your motor is eventually going to blow. So I'm going to explain to you how to change a motor in older cars. I'm not familiar with newer cars but i figure most boys around here have older cars.

The first thing you do when you go to change a motor is take the hood off of your car. You do this so you have lots of room to work and so you can pull the motor out. After you get this done you move to the front of the car, you take the shroud off (the plastic piece the goes over your radiator). Then you unhook your hoses going from your motor to the radiator and hall the radiator out of place (make sure you place a bucket under tho hoses so you wont get any fluids on the grounf). After this you take the fan off the front of the motor, then you go to your alternator, you loosen this and take the belt off then you take the alternator completely off. Then move over to the other side of the front of the motor and loosen your power steering belt, take it off, and then take your power steering belt completely off. you then move to the top of the motor where the carburetor is, you take that off along with your fuel line that runs down to the fuel pump on the side of the motor, make sure that when you unhook the fuel lines that you block them off to prevent gas from leaking. After you have this done you move to the exhaust system on the motor which is the manifolds. You leave the exhaust hooked to your manifold but you unhook your manifolds from each side of the motor. All you have left now is two steps. The next step is to take your to motor support bolts out, then you unhook your (5) transmission bolts from your motor, and you unhook the (3) torque bolts that hook to your motor on the transmission. The Wrenches you use for this job colud vary from 7mm too 1 1/2 ".

After all of this is done you then haul your motor out of place with whatever devise you plan on using. When you go to put your new motor in make sure to hook everything back up (from the last thing you took off to the first thing you took off). Follow these steps and you should do fine changing your motor.

My Great Wlak

I was awoken this morning by the noise of the people around the neighborhood. When I
got up I looked out my bedroom window and seen people outside everywhere enjoying the nice
hot Saturday summer morning. I ate my breakfast and got dressed as quick as I could and then
headed out side.

As soon as I stepped outside I could tell it was going to be and interesting day, because
there was so much going on. I walked to the end of the gate and found a little red wagon, I said
to my self “ill bring this with me incase I find some interesting things to pick up while I’m on my
journey around the neighborhood”. I started walking down the road when I met up with some of my friends, they was all in a tipi like shack having a picnic, so I sat down with them and ate
some fish and potatoes. After I was done I told them thank and kept on with my journey.

I came across a little garage and when I stepped in there was a car with a canvas over it,
I could tell by the size of the car it had to be a classic. No one was around so I pulled the tarp off
to see what it was. When I pulled the cover off I discovered a 1976 caprice classic, I new what kind of car it was because my uncle has one the very same the he takes me for drives in. So far
the day was going great, I had 2 good meals and saw one of my favorite cars.

I left the garage and started walking down the road again. I was walking down the road
not paying any attention at all and heard a car horn, I brought my head up and old Miss Daisy
was driving down the rod in her station wagon, I had to jump up on the hood of her car and run
up it and jump off the back. “Woooo that was close” I said to myself. I could have been killed if it
wasn’t for Miss Daisy barmping her horn at me. I sat on the side of the road for a while because I
was shook up so bad. After I got unshook I started walking again and continued my journey.

I was going passed my cousin Franks house when I noticed him in the back yard washing
his car. I walked back to where he was washing. He was working hard to try to get his car
washed for 5 o’clock, he was taking it to the antique car show in town, it was 4 o’clock already
and he had to wash, wax and clean the inside out. I asked him if he would like me to help him and
he said yes. I never washed or cleaned the inside of a car before; before I started he showed me
how to run the vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the car out. I cleaned the inside of the car
out, when I was done he told me I did a great job and thank a lot. He had to go so I continued my
journey.

I seen a trail threw the woods that went to my house so I took it. I seen tracks in front of
me but I wasn’t sure what kind they was. I kept walking and followed the tracks. After about 10
minutes of walking I came to the end of the tracks and there was to baby dear and there mother
drinking water from a little stream. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw, but I had to go
home it was getting dark, it was a great day, I’m glad I went on this journey today I seen a lot of
things and gained a lot of experience.

Dazed and Confused Movie Review

I liked this movie very well, it as a very good movie and is catchy. It does not tell what the movie is about at first and keeps your attention and makes you want to keep watching. It never tells what is going to happen in the movie, or the point of the whole movie or story.

I watched this movie many of times . I like this movie very well and picked it to do the review on because it was an excellent film and i recomonend and teenager to watch it.

Freedom Writers Movie Review

The name of the movie being review is "Freedom Writers". This movie first came to realease on January 5th, 2007. The director of this movies is Richard LaGravenese, names of the main actors are; Hilary Swank (the teacher), Patrick Dempsey (the teachers husband), April L. Hernandez (As Eva,a student and a gang member), and Jason Finn(another important student and gang member).

In this movie a new, young teacher takes over a class of gang members, and kids who had a hard lifes and lives in lower class communitys and they know what it is like to shoot and be shot at. This young teacher inspires these students to respect and be respected, she teaches them toloerance and also inspires them to finish high school or even go farther.

This movie reminded me of the move "The Outsiders" in a way. In "The Freedom Writers" Eva sticks up for her gang members and will do anything for them. But after she realize's what life is really all about, she tells the truth about what happened when her fellow gang memeber shot a man. Instead of lieing and maybe goin to jail her self. This is something like when "Pony Boy" has to go to court and tell about what happend when his fellow gang member "Johnny' stabed a boy from another rival gang. Ponyboy doesnt lie and everything turns out alright, no one goes to jail because it was self defence. Both of these movies were great and compare well.

Hilary Swank's preformence was excellent in this movie. She starts out as unexpierienced teacher with a class that no other teachers would teach. She is not embaressed to teach these kids. She finally gets her love threw to them and they realize how much she loves them and what she will go threw to help them. They show love for her eventually and cant go with out her. The class and Hilary even fight with the head of the school so she can teach them in junior and senior year.

Hilary Swank never went threw this kind of expiernece before, she took a bunch of teenagers who didnt know what they wanted or what they was doing and made them into perfect kids. It is alomost like this movie had a city theme of "Might is right" or "Love and comparision have great healing powers".

The snowboarder.

I waited most of my life to get this far. I’m finally here. Its where I tried to get for so long. I’m at the world’s snow boarding championship.

A shot from a pistol goes off, and the race begins. There are 6 other snow boarders and me. With 3 boarders in front of me and 3 behind me. I can here the sound of other boards cut in the fresh trail; I can here here the crowd cheer as I slide up into second place. As I try top block the sounds of the other boarders and the crowd cheering, I start gaining on the man in first place, I come up behind him and I can feel the cold snow coming off his board hit my face and melt. I see the ramp coming up. I pray that I can make it across it without falling; this is the part that I practiced the most for. The boarder in first place makes at across without falling. I come up to it; I jump and swing my body. I can’t believe I’m doing it, I can hear the sound of the board hit the steel pole. I make it across; as I look down the trail I see the other racer has fallen. I’m gaining on him, before I know it I pass him and I’m crossing the finish line.

I won! After waiting all my life I’m here and I won. I can’t believe it; it’s like a dream come true. I guess hard work really does pay off.
